Roles

Accountant - The primary user of the application. This person bookkeeps FinancialTransaktions.

Business Terms

GeneralLedger - A collection of LedgerAccounts that shows an overview of FinancialTransactions split up across LedgerAccounts and BookKeepingPeriods.

LedgerAccount - A collection of LedgerEntries that contribute to a common purpose within the company.

LedgerDraft - A temperary collection of LedgerEntryDrafts which when commited will constitute a number of FinancialTransactions.

LedgerEntries - A representation of the financial impact of a given disposition for a given LedgerAccount. A LedgerEntry is always non-editable due to tax and audit issues.

LedgerEntryDraft - A temporary draft of a LedgerEntry.

FinancialTransactions - A collection of LedgerEntries that constitues the total impact of a financial disposition in the company.

BookKeepingPeriods - An arbitrary period of time, typically spanning a number of months.
