In other news - Nybolig sucks
So, the site has been updated - I promised not to say who did it, but I’m soon going to marry her… Well, anyhows - much is happening at the moment. Our old apartment has been sold - much to our surprise since the realtor was probably the daftest around. After hearing nothing for 2 months - I decided to give them a call… turns out they were sitting on a potential buyer, but the guy in charge of our apartment had changed departments… leaving the case sitting comfortably on a shelf. To add insult to injury, when the deal was closed, they did nothing - and I really do mean nothing, to get the sale to come through. My bank advisor had to yank them from their couches to get them to send out papers for signatures - after 3-4 weeks of sitting on their hands.
The irony - and perhaps the morale - of the story is that you’d think this realtor was cheap then… sadly, they are quite expensive - I shelled out 10 grand to get it sold - not mentioning the 10 grand in reduced sales price. They call themselves ‘experts’ at selling condos - and advertise with being the leading one on the market here in Aalborg and as it says on their front: “Right now looking for immediate sellers of 2-3 room apartments”. Sometimes, quality comes with a price-tag - but other times - it is just a price-tag. Normally, I wouldn’t name the guilty - but hey, for Nybolig? Any day of the week. They say there’s no such thing as bad publicity. I’ll put that to the test.
The car is going through a rough patch - the radiator is leaking. Not much, but it needs fixing - and today I found out that the suspension at the rear is over and out too. I’m looking at maybe 1-2 grand of repairs - but it’s to be expected for a car from ‘93.
Hmm… aside from that - I’m going through the usual panic attacks from failing to have everything ready for the wedding. Trying to figure out what we’re lacking… probably everything, but as long as we have each other… well, it can still end in a nice catastrophe. Turns out most of the invited guests are actually looking forward to the wedding, and almost everyone is attending… even more to our surprise. At one point we were getting nervous that noone was coming - then yesterday, one of our friends canceled his cancelation (yeah, it’s a mess) and my dad’s side of my family all announced their attendance complete with a few kids.
